Description

  • Perform senior trust accounting and quality assurance reviews, including bank reconciliations, financial diagnostics, and review of owner statements, income statements, and balance sheets.
  • Manage client relationships: onboard new clients, lead client meetings, handle client email correspondence, set and maintain expectations, and oversee issue resolution.
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members on new or complex trust accounting processes and serve as first-in-line to define and document new functions.
  • Oversee execution of routine and non-routine accounting services (cleanups, onboarding) and ensure timely completion of all assigned client tasks.
  • Monitor team performance metrics (budget vs. actual hours) with the Trust Department Manager and participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Create spreadsheets and ad hoc tools to improve trust accounting process efficiency and lead/process documentation efforts.
  • Track daily tasks and time, participate in company and departmental meetings, and maintain internal communication via email and Slack.

Requirements

  • Immediate availability and ability to work full-time remote (40–45 hours/week).
  • Bookkeeping or trust accounting experience with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality client service (own the outcome and ease of doing business).
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and basic ability to read and analyze financial statements.
  • Ability to write, define, document, and train others on new trust accounting processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and adherence to company communication standards (ADEPT Communication).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn and master new cloud-based software applications.
  • Proficiency with AppFolio or Rentvine (preferred).
