Description

  • Manage an efficient procurement operation for materials, supplies, equipment, and services supporting clinical trial delivery.
  • Organize and supervise procurement activities, including the request for proposal (RFP) lifecycle.
  • Negotiate preferential pricing and favorable terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors.
  • Track savings targets and support cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives.
  • Review and compare specifications and costs during the solicitation process.
  • Develop tools and processes that improve procurement efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends and industry developments.
  • Lead transformational initiatives to strengthen procurement capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver vendor-enabled innovation and mitigate commercial and procurement risk.
  • Ensure compliance in purchasing, vendor selection, and bidding processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field, or international equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in life science procurement and outsourcing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.
  • Experience with clinical trial procurement and contract research organization operations.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain certifications preferred.
  • Experience managing and developing staff.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, and management skills; ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
