Description

  • Develop high-quality, medically accurate content for patient support services in print and digital formats.
  • Write and adapt PSP materials such as patient and caregiver education pieces, HCP toolkits, websites, FAQs, enrollment materials, and internal training resources.
  • Deliver assigned projects according to established timelines.
  • Conduct literature reviews and develop annotations to support promotional claims in medical education and marketing resources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, account teams, and external stakeholders to align content with client strategy and vision.
  • Communicate medical content with internal teams and pharmaceutical clients as needed.
  • Attend medical, legal, and regulatory review meetings as needed.
  • Participate in internal meetings including kickoffs, weekly status meetings, client meetings, and brainstorm/review sessions.
  • Translate complex medical and program information into clear, accessible language for different audiences.
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality across claims, terms, and conditions language.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in life sciences.
  • BA/BS in English plus 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical agency, medical communications company, or healthcare advertising.
  • Minimum 1 year of medical writing experience in a pharmaceutical agency, medical communications company, or healthcare advertising.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical patient support programs such as patient hubs and financial assistance offerings.
  • Knowledge of AMA style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with scientific search engines such as PubMed and Google Scholar.
  • Ability to write for multiple audiences and formats, including patient-facing, HCP-facing, and web-based materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and ability to prioritize deadline-sensitive work and manage competing client priorities.
  • Preferred: experience developing content for patient support programs, patient education, HCP communications, or related healthcare initiatives.
  • Preferred: experience gathering, evaluating, and summarizing healthcare business and scientific literature and insights data for managed care audiences.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of managed markets, healthcare delivery, health reform legislation, or managed care settings such as HMO, MCO, or PBM.
