Description

  • Lead and manage the Cloud Engineering team, including technical direction, mentoring, performance development, and workload allocation.
  • Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for the SaaS platform.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure as code with modular, reusable, and consistent environment provisioning.
  • Design, implement, and refine Kubernetes/EKS deployment strategies using Helm.
  • Optimize and govern CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and improve integration with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to standardize tooling, deployment practices, and operational processes.
  • Drive automation and process improvements across infrastructure, deployments, and cloud operations to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
  • Maintain knowledge of modern cloud engineering practices to guide technical decisions and align the team.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to support skill development, career growth, and high-quality execution.
  • Establish clear expectations and ensure the team’s work aligns with organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in CloudOps/DevOps building and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and automation.
  • Proven experience with AWS services and Terraform, with strong Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/EKS and Helm Charts for deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes integrations.
  • At least 2 years of people leadership experience, including coaching engineers and managing team performance.
  • 2–4 years of experience in stakeholder-facing roles, including leading projects and translating technical requirements into engineering plans.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex infrastructure and deployment challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with customers and vendors to define expectations and support delivery outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, including networking, compute, storage, security, and scalable enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and secure, reusable IaC patterns.
  • Strong proficiency with Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, and microservices deployment patterns.
  • Advanced CI/CD skills, particularly with GitLab, including pipeline optimization and automated testing integrations.
  • Strong scripting and automation ability with tools such as Python and Bash.
  • Competency in cloud security principles, including IAM, secrets management, compliance, and secure-by-design engineering.
  • Leadership and people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and team building.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement in automation, observability, cost efficiency, and operational maturity.
