Description

  • Serve as a financial member of the Project Team to support timely, efficient, and accurate preparation and tracking of site payments.
  • Review the financial section of Clinical Trial Agreements to prepare site payment tracking workbooks on a project-by-project and site-by-site basis.
  • Maintain advance balance tracking to ensure sufficient prepaid funds are available for site payments.
  • Work with Project Directors and Project Managers to guide completion of site payment workbooks and ensure eligible visits are tracked and processed.
  • Verify that investigator site payment workbooks calculate all fields correctly to support accurate payments.
  • Prepare site payment packages for Project Director or Project Manager review and approval.
  • Communicate approved payments to the Finance Department for entry into financial systems and payment processing.
  • Prepare Aggregate Spend (Sunshine Act) and Medicare/Medicaid reporting as applicable.
  • Prepare site payment reconciliations and manage the investigator grant dedicated mailbox.
  • Support the Project Team by managing the investigator grants pass-through budget and performing ad hoc financial tasks as assigned.
  • Collect patient activity data at each site to create accurate client accruals, pay sites according to fully executed CTAs, and project costs to monitor overall budget health.
  • Communicate with sites and clients by email to resolve inquiries.
  • Coach and mentor teammates on the Investigator Grants Team.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or local country equivalent.
  • 3 years of clinical research experience.
  • Prior accounts payable experience in global payments.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Experience analyzing, reconciling, and communicating financial results with internal project teams and investigative sites.
  • Preferred: experience as an Investigator Payment Specialist or Senior background.
  • Preferred: exposure to investigator contracts and budgets.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite products.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Practical knowledge of IT tools and systems used by the Finance Department for grant administration.
