Description

  • Manage site start-up processes and develop activation readiness strategies.
  • Coordinate critical-path planning for regulatory submissions, ICF customization, IMP release, risk mitigation, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with clients, functional leaders, site start-up specialists, and cross-functional teams to align milestones and resolve delivery risks.
  • Participate in client meetings covering expectations, communication, risk mitigation, reporting, and metrics.
  • Oversee the accuracy and real-time maintenance of tracking systems and progress metrics.
  • Coordinate translations and required submission documentation.
  • Maintain project-specific communication across feasibility, clinical operations, project management, regulatory, and contracts teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for country-specific start-up requirements and provide direct country or site support when needed.
  • Develop country start-up summaries, process flows, training sessions, and guidance materials.
  • Mentor staff on local regulations, submissions, internal procedures, and study start-up activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, Registered Nurse qualification, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • At least 5 years of site start-up experience, ideally as a Start Up Lead or project manager in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing project milestones, resources, budgets, and team activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience driving cross-functional activities.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, ICH guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with computerized information systems, spreadsheets, word processing, email, and milestone-tracking tools.
  • Fluency in English and the local language of the country where the role is based.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, interpersonal, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences or a related field preferred; occasional travel may be required.
