Description

  • Manage all programming aspects of clinical databases from study start through database lock and post-lock support.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of assigned projects and communicate project status to internal teams and study stakeholders.
  • Forecast hours, identify resource needs, and manage budgets, including out-of-scope work and post-production changes.
  • Provide input into clinical database design for clients and internal teams.
  • Build, support, test, validate, and maintain clinical databases and related programs.
  • Provide system administration and advanced technical support for internal applications, clinical databases, and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and clinical database issues.
  • Develop and maintain study-specific validation documents and SOP/process documentation.
  • Support data management activities from CRF design through database close and archival.
  • Lead operational and technical training for end users, junior staff, and data management team members.
  • Participate in vendor selection, EDC demonstrations, trainings, and project meetings.
  • Support onboarding of new hires and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Strong experience in oncology; experience with autoimmune diseases is a strong advantage.
  • Strong experience with Rave and Veeva.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or VBS.
  • Understanding of CDISC standards, including CDASH, SDTM, and ADaM.
  • Proficiency in more than one CDMS system, including building forms, edit checks, and complex rule development.
  • Knowledge of CRF standards, standards library maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Experience in clinical database management system development.
  • Experience in a clinical, scientific, or healthcare discipline.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and create plans to meet project and business goals (preferred).
  • Experience across multiple therapeutic areas and various database programming systems (preferred).
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and comfortable in a dynamic work environment (preferred).
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong client relationship management skills (preferred).
