Description

Develop, mentor, manage, and coach site start-up personnel to maintain quality standards.
Advocate for individual career development and accountability across the team.
Hold routine 1:1 meetings to manage assigned work and support career growth.
Serve as subject matter expert support for site start-up activities when needed.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, working guidelines, project plans, and regulatory requirements.
Provide team members with the resources, training, materials, and system access needed to perform their roles.
Contribute to training plans and track completion of training goals and remediation needs.
Manage administrative compliance including time entry, billing, travel, and expense reporting.
Participate in interviewing, CV review, and onboarding of new site start-up personnel.
Support resource planning, FTE allocation, and budget-aligned project staffing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum 6 years of clinical research experience, including extensive site start-up experience.
Line management experience is essential.
Leadership experience or demonstrated competencies for a leadership role.
Demonstrated knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
Proven competence in people management and team-based resource management.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with clinical software such as CTMS, eTMF, and EDC.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Fluency in English.
Preferred: advanced degree in life sciences or a related field.
Preferred: experience working in a CRO environment.
Occasional travel may be required.
