Description

  • Support project teams across all financial areas related to running a clinical trial.
  • Prepare the monthly invoicing worksheet used for client invoicing and revenue recognition.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing forecasted revenue to actual revenue to identify gaps and scope changes.
  • Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities to identify out-of-scope work.
  • Support monthly project review meetings as needed.
  • Assist in preparing contract documents, including statements of work and change orders.
  • Work with the Company Accountant to support financial reporting and general ledger functions.
  • Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Ensure timely reporting of monthly financial information.
  • Respond to the CFO and Vice President, Operational Finance with financial results, special reporting requests, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and features to improve workflow and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in accounting discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of general ledger and financial reporting experience.
  • Working knowledge of the accounting cycle, project budgets, financial project management support, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and contract review.
  • Fluency in English and, for non-English speaking countries, the local language of the country where the position is based.
  • CRO industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the full project lifecycle and how financials and contract status affect each stage of a clinical trial.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel and PC skills and the ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong accounting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
