Description

  • Lead Project Directors and Project Managers in global project planning, execution, and governance.
  • Provide strategic oversight across clinical programs and manage selected program activities.
  • Serve as the primary sponsor escalation point beyond project management.
  • Manage resources, budgets, schedules, risks, scope, and project interdependencies.
  • Hire, train, coach, develop, and evaluate Project Directors and Project Managers.
  • Provide guidance on scope definition, risk mitigation, resource planning, goals, and deliverables.
  • Support business development through proposals, budgeting, bid defense preparation, and opportunity development.
  • Evaluate project performance and implement recovery, re-scoping, postponement, or cancellation plans as needed.
  • Measure and report KPIs, lead continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with SOPs, project plans, GCP/ICH, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in a science or health-related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of clinical research experience, including extensive project and line management experience.
  • In-depth experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device research.
  • Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines, clinical development processes, and project management techniques.
  • Experience managing complex, global clinical trials and cross-functional projects preferred.
  • Proven people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, negotiation, and conflict resolution experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project management software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employer sponsorship.
