Description

  • Own general ledger accounting processes for all profit-and-loss and balance-sheet accounts across multiple entities.
  • Review journal entries, prepare complex general ledger entries, and oversee balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable spend, cash-flow forecasts, invoice approvals, and cash-management activities.
  • Finalize consolidated corporate SGA budgets and forecasts, including allocations and budget-versus-actual analysis.
  • Maintain accounting policies, process documentation, training materials, and compliance with emerging US GAAP standards.
  • Develop internal controls to reduce payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud risks.
  • Review vendor and customer spend, aging analyses, and opportunities for vendor consolidation.
  • Review customer contracts for revenue recognition compliance under US GAAP ASC 606.
  • Oversee audit support, accounting memos, audit schedules, PBC requests, and resolution of audit issues.
  • Oversee statutory financial statement preparation and reporting, support local audits, and coordinate with accounting and tax partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent accounting designation preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities within EMEA.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems, such as Infor, preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and US and international accounting standards.
  • Critical-thinking, analytical, interpretive, problem-solving, and complex-reporting abilities.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and communicating effectively with teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Leadership experience developing teams, mentoring junior staff, and building cross-functional relationships; CRO or pharma services experience preferred.
