Description

  • Own general ledger accounting processes for all profit-and-loss and balance-sheet accounts across multiple entities.
  • Review journal entries, prepare complex general ledger entries, and oversee balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable spend, cash-flow forecasts, invoice approvals, and cash-management activities.
  • Finalize consolidated corporate budgets and forecasts and provide actual-versus-budget analysis.
  • Maintain accounting policies, process documentation, and training materials while mentoring accounting staff.
  • Monitor US GAAP developments and support implementation of new standards, acquisitions, system integrations, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Establish internal controls to reduce payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud.
  • Review vendor spend, customer aging, and opportunities for vendor consolidation.
  • Review customer contracts for revenue recognition compliance under ASC 606.
  • Lead audit support, statutory reporting, PBC requests, and relationships with external auditors and local accounting and tax partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent accounting designation preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities within EMEA.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems, such as Infor, preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and US and international accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to manage complex reporting, large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information, tight deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and communicating effectively with teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities in English.
  • Leadership experience developing teams and building cross-functional relationships; clinical research or pharmaceutical services experience preferred.
