Description

  • Own general ledger accounting processes for P&L and balance sheet accounts across multiple business units and legal entities.
  • Review and prepare complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
  • Oversee accounts payable spend, cash-flow forecasts, invoice approvals, and cash-management activities.
  • Finalize consolidated corporate SGA budgets and forecasts, including allocations and actual-to-budget analysis.
  • Develop accounting policies, maintain process documentation, and monitor emerging US GAAP standards.
  • Train and mentor accounting staff and lead recurring team development sessions.
  • Establish internal controls to reduce payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud risk.
  • Review vendor and customer spend, aging analyses, and opportunities for vendor consolidation.
  • Review customer contracts for compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition requirements under ASC 606.
  • Manage audit support, PBC requests, statutory reporting, accounting memos, and follow-up on audit issues.
  • Oversee local statutory accounting and reporting requirements and liaise with accounting and tax partners.
  • Support system implementations, integrations, acquisitions, and other strategic business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent accounting designation preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience managing multiple legal entities within EMEA.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems, such as Infor, preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and US and international accounting standards.
  • Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and statutory financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, interpretive, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage complex reporting, large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information, tight deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and communicating effectively with teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities in English.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Clinical Research Organisation or Pharma Services experience preferred.
