Description

  • Act as the primary contact for IT requests through Jira and Slack.
  • Provide hands-on support for macOS and Windows laptops and core workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom, and HubSpot.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VPN, authentication, and device-related issues quickly to keep employees productive.
  • Document fixes, maintain runbooks, checklists, and FAQs in Notion, and improve repeatability of IT processes.
  • Own identity and access management across core systems and apply Zero Trust, least privilege, and RBAC principles.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding by provisioning accounts, enrolling devices in MDM, and configuring VPN and EDR tools.
  • Maintain laptop and equipment lifecycle, asset inventory, and hardware procurement for new hires and replacements.
  • Run regular access reviews and audits, and coordinate secure device disposal with external partners.
  • Own SOC 2 Type II IT controls, including evidence collection and support for external audits.
  • Support incident response, critical issues, device compliance, and management of key IT/security vendors.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT support or IT operations, ideally in a SaaS or startup environment.
  • Experience with tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, TwinGate, CrowdStrike, ManageEngine or other MDM platforms, Jira, Slack, HubSpot, Zoom, and Notion.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering macOS and Windows environments.
  • Experience with SSO/MFA and access management using Okta or similar tools.
  • Understanding of MDM and EDR concepts and tools.
  • Clear understanding of Zero Trust, least privilege, and RBAC.
  • Hands-on SOC 2 Type II experience, including controls, evidence collection, and working with auditors.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High ownership, responsiveness, and follow-through, with willingness to provide occasional after-hours incident support.
  • Must be located in Toronto and willing to work in-office regularly.
  • Experience working with external vendors.
  • Nice to have: experience automating IT workflows or using AI to improve IT operations.
  • Nice to have: professional certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Security+.
  • Nice to have: experience in fintech, insurtech, or other regulated environments.
  • Nice to have: experience creating and leading OKRs and presenting to the company.
