Description

  • Assess energy storage technologies and site layout options to maximize project value while minimizing execution and operating risks.
  • Analyze, assess, and present project technical risks and propose de-risking solutions.
  • Develop project capital and operational cost estimates and milestone schedules for financial valuation models.
  • Provide technical and project management support throughout the development cycle, including site visits and coordination with third-party consultants and local authorities.
  • Support offtake, equipment procurement, and engineering and construction contracting activities to move projects toward notice to proceed (NTP).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in technical roles or fields.
  • Experience in Power, Energy, Renewables, or BESS, with familiarity with industry-specific terminology, is required.
  • Knowledge of the value proposition and technical fundamentals of energy storage development.
  • Broad technical knowledge, with preference for additional depth in one or more focus areas.
  • Demonstrated success with technical-commercial contract negotiations for offtake, equipment supply, engineering, and construction agreements.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment with geographically dispersed technical and non-technical team members.
  • Strong writing, presentation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive mindset to identify risks or obstacles early and drive solutions.
