Description

  • Set direction for Technology partnerships across six markets with a focus on long-term platform and ecosystem value.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue partnership opportunities that provide meaningful strategic leverage for the business.
  • Lead complex partnership processes from early exploration through negotiation, launch, and ongoing evolution.
  • Define and articulate partner strategies and joint value propositions aligned with product vision, customer impact, and commercial outcomes.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to influence integration priorities, technical scope, and roadmap decisions.
  • Drive alignment across senior stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Commercial, Legal, and Marketing.
  • Launch and scale partnerships with clear success metrics and ensure sustained impact over time.
  • Act as senior owner for key partnerships, managing partner relationships and long-term collaboration models.
  • Represent Pleo within the SaaS and fintech ecosystem and strengthen the company’s Technology positioning and partnerships.
  • Contribute to broader platform strategy, ecosystem design, and long-term growth initiatives, including in-person partner engagement across Europe.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Technology partnerships, alliances, or business development within SaaS and/or fintech.
  • Proven track record of leading high-impact partnerships with measurable product or business outcomes and delivering on commercial targets.
  • Strong understanding of platform ecosystems, API integrations, and product-centric partnership models.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across strategy, execution, and relationship management.
  • Strong commercial judgment and experience negotiating complex partnership agreements.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Structured, self-directed approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, high-visibility environments.
  • Experience within ecosystems like Accounting, HRIS, Payroll, or Travel and willingness to travel across Europe (preferred).
