Description

  • Assess the health and deployment readiness of Defense Agencies and Field Activities (DAFA) MECM environments.
  • Document infrastructure readiness findings, migration blockers, remediation owners, and retest evidence.
  • Validate client health, management-point communication, distribution-point content, boundary behavior, and task-sequence dependencies.
  • Engineer, test, deploy, and troubleshoot migration-preparation and Windows reimaging task sequences.
  • Integrate PowerShell activities with prerequisite checks, error handling, reboot coordination, and diagnostic evidence preservation.
  • Validate data protection and recovery arrangements before approved destructive deployment steps.
  • Coordinate pilots, deployment targeting, rollout controls, and remediation with infrastructure owners and migration teams.
  • Support provisioning-package workflows for Microsoft Entra join and Intune enrollment and troubleshoot Windows, identity, and enrollment failures.
  • Capture migration and enrollment evidence; validate policies, applications, and final endpoint management state.
  • Monitor deployments, investigate recurring failures, and provide Tier III support during post-deployment stabilization.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/Microsoft Configuration Manager) infrastructure.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting operating system deployment, migration-preparation, and Windows reimaging task sequences.
  • Ability to assess MECM client health, management points, distribution points, boundaries, and deployment dependencies.
  • Practical PowerShell scripting, deployment diagnostics, and safe remediation workflow experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra join and Microsoft Intune enrollment, including provisioning troubleshooting.
  • Experience coordinating enterprise endpoint migration pilots, deployment waves, and Tier III post-deployment support.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret or higher DoD security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a role requiring privileged access.
  • Experience supporting DISA, DoD Fourth Estate agencies, or other large federal endpoint migration programs (preferred).
  • Experience documenting migration readiness, blockers, remediation ownership, retest evidence, and final endpoint management state (preferred).
