Description

  • Build close customer relationships and assess the business value of Plaid across a territory of accounts.
  • Prospect deeply across customer and target accounts to build support for adopting Plaid solutions.
  • Partner with sales development, account management, technical account management, implementation, product, and other account team members to win deals as a team.
  • Understand customer goals and priorities and communicate how Plaid’s solutions help achieve desired outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for Plaid solutions with existing and prospective high-growth fintech customers.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of engaged prospects to support quota attainment.
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle and coordinate input from sales engineers, product specialists, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives and support a consultative sales motion across Plaid.
  • Manage pipeline and accurately forecast deal value and win probability.
  • Apply deep product knowledge to match Plaid technology to each customer’s unique goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in a quota-carrying direct sales role with a strong record of attainment.
  • Excellent prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills.
  • Experience with a consultative, customer-centric sales approach.
  • Working knowledge of APIs and interest in understanding how Plaid works under the hood.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Professional yet relaxed communication style.
  • Experience working with fintech customers is implied by the role focus on fintech sales.

Benefits

  • Target base salary of $117,762 to $154,950 per year, depending on location.
  • Commission eligibility.
