Description

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including entries, auditing, review, and post-payroll reporting for U.S. and U.K. payroll.
  • Reconcile payroll funding and general ledger accounts, including payroll, benefits, and cross-charge billing.
  • Process employee status changes, time-off policy assignments, timecard edits, make-up time forms, and meal waivers.
  • Manage payroll-related transactions such as parking stipends, deferral changes, annual merit increases, garnishments, manual checks, and final pay.
  • Prepare and distribute overtime, union payroll cost, bank deposit, and credit card balance reports for management and Finance.
  • Register wage accounts, set up state and local tax jurisdictions in ADP, and process select local tax payments.
  • Coordinate 401(k) and HSA funding, payroll loans, and communications related to vendor and agency responses.
  • Handle domestic and international wires, AP vendor wires, recalls, amendments, and related banking communications.
  • Reconcile monthly benefits billing, vacation accruals, cap labor rates, and ADP credit/debit invoices.
  • Support internal and external audits and respond to employee and supervisor payroll and timekeeping inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 3–5 years of payroll and general ledger accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of employee labor laws, taxes, relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • ADP software proficiency preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $28.85–$38.46.
  • Remote work arrangement with occasional onsite attendance required in Los Angeles for special projects or meetings.
  • Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30am–5:30pm.
  • Temporary assignment starting as a 1-month engagement with month-to-month renewals as needed.
