Description

  • Establish and own relationships with key Search team partners as the strategic and execution lead for high-impact programs.
  • Define and drive Search, Relevance, and Merchant ML/AI programs, including scope, ownership, risk mitigation, and successful delivery.
  • Lead day-to-day program management across multiple work streams spanning product strategy, technical design, and experimentation.
  • Partner with Data Science to analyze merchant distribution and shopping experiences and use those insights to steer strategy with cross-functional leaders.
  • Build subject-matter expertise in query understanding and search engines.
  • Drive product, business, and OKR requirements while streamlining engineering effort and cost.
  • Identify gaps in search and shopping distribution strategy and operationalize processes to close them.
  • Own and scale headcount and roadmap planning for a large engineering organization.
  • Lead fast-moving, high-ambiguity strategic bets and translate executive vision into executable project plans.
  • Manage the overall program portfolio and mentor junior TPMs to improve resource allocation and team performance.
  • Use GenAI to accelerate program execution through AI-assisted drafts, workflow automation, risk tracking, and signal synthesis.
  • Prototype data-driven or process-improving solutions using AI coding assistants and lightweight internal tools.
  • Apply Pinterest AI safety, governance, and compliance practices when using AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

  • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a technical or analytical role.
  • Strong technical breadth and judgment, with the ability to ramp quickly across technologies and assess risks and tradeoffs.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong execution and delivery focus in a data-informed environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, organizational awareness, and ability to influence others toward program objectives.
  • Experience working with Search products at a low level of detail is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated AI-first execution mindset, including using GenAI to accelerate planning, operations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with workflow design, AI fluency, dashboards, data analysis, lightweight scripting or tool-building, and use of agents where appropriate.
  • Experience operating within AI governance expectations, including risk assessment, data handling, output validation, auditability, and traceability.
  • Ability to identify when AI use is not appropriate or requires additional controls.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $145,747 to $300,067 USD for US-based applicants.
  • Eligible for equity.

  • Remote-friendly role that can be situated anywhere in the country.
  • Required in-office collaboration only 1–2 times every 6 months.
