Description

  • Lead the stewardship, evolution, and adoption of core design patterns, component libraries, and gestalt subsystems.
  • Partner strategically and hands-on with product, engineering, and design teams across Personalisation and core surfaces.
  • Apply systematic approaches to pattern creation that balance usability, craft, accessibility, and business needs.
  • Rapidly prototype, visualize, and validate ideas using Figma, code, AI, or other tools as needed.
  • Conduct quality audits and review flows, handoffs, and design execution to uphold craft standards.
  • Contribute hands-on design work when needed to improve quality and consistency.
  • Mentor and guide other designers through critique, feedback, and sharing best practices.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusion across design systems from the ground up.
  • Present design thinking, rationale, and vision to teams, leaders, and executives to build alignment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with significant experience driving or evolving design systems or pattern libraries.
  • A portfolio demonstrating polished interface design, systemic thinking, component-based UIs, and influence across large organizations.
  • Experience in staff or principal-level roles with horizontal influence and cross-functional partnership, ideally in large-scale consumer or platform environments.
  • Comfort experimenting with Figma prototypes, AI, and optionally front-end code.
  • Expert-level motion and visual design skills with a strong understanding of usability and experience quality.
  • Ability to synthesize ambiguity into actionable design problems and communicate clearly through documentation and collaboration.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning, experimentation, and mentoring others.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and systems that serve diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as design, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Experience leading platform-wide or multi-product design system initiatives.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with personalization, large consumer apps, or rapid-scale environments.
  • Preferred: Contributions to public design systems, open-source libraries, or industry talks/writing.
  • In-office collaboration required 1-2 times every 6 months; role can be based anywhere in the country.
  • No relocation assistance is provided.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $158,765 to $326,870 USD.
  • Eligible for equity.
  • Flexible PinFlex working model with mostly remote work and only occasional in-office collaboration.
  • Role can be situated anywhere in the country.
