Description

  • Design and develop ML-assisted sampling techniques to measure unsafe content prevalence across complex user interactions.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate policy-violation rates for categories such as adult content, self-harm, harassment, and misinformation.
  • Build large-scale data pipelines that unify queries, system responses, and recommended Pin images for safety labeling.
  • Create and support offline dashboards and online production workflows for continuous safety monitoring.
  • Partner with Trust & Safety teams to translate written policies into LLM prompts and coordinate labeling queues.
  • Calibrate labeler decision quality and improve the reliability of safety measurements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ML Engineers, Trust & Safety Ops, subject matter experts, and Product Managers.
  • Drive ambiguous measurement projects end-to-end with strong ownership and judgment.
  • Communicate measurement decisions and metrics clearly to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to apply scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data.
  • Strong interest and hands-on experience in platform safety, prevalence measurement, adversarial testing, responsible data measurement, or Trust & Safety.
  • Deep familiarity with measurement challenges in complex ecosystems and statistical interpretation of data.
  • Experience designing and calibrating measurement frameworks and managing complex logging tables.
  • Experience defining directional success metrics for measurement work.
  • Strong quantitative programming skills in Python.
  • Strong data manipulation skills in SQL and Spark.
  • Experience with complex ML pipelines and up-sampling.
  • Ability to drive ambiguous measurement projects end-to-end with high ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience advocating for decision quality before releasing metrics to executive leadership.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $139,764 to $287,749 USD for US-based applicants.
  • Eligible for equity.
  • Flexible collaboration model with mostly remote work and in-office presence only 1-2 times per quarter.
