Description

  • Review contracts and analyze complex, material, or confidential transactions to determine appropriate US GAAP treatment.
  • Research technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memoranda, policies, and practical guidance.
  • Advise internal stakeholders and train teams on complex accounting requirements.
  • Partner with Accounting Operations, Finance, Legal, Real Estate, and other teams to resolve accounting matters.
  • Monitor new accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements and support related policy, process, and control implementation.
  • Use AI to accelerate accounting research and develop scalable internal resources while validating accuracy and protecting confidential information.
  • Support preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures for Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and the proxy statement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a related field, or equivalent experience, plus an active CPA certification.
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or public-company experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 350, ASC 360, and ASC 450.
  • Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and policies documenting conclusions, guidance, and judgments.
  • Understanding of SEC reporting requirements, internal controls, and SOX 404.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex accounting topics to varied audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams under firm reporting deadlines.
  • Experience using AI to improve accounting work, with appropriate output validation, data protection, and ownership of final deliverables.
  • Position is remote within the country, with in-office collaboration required 1–2 times per year; relocation assistance is not provided.

  • Base salary range of $98,561–$202,918 USD for US-based applicants.
