Description

  • Administer and provide overall support and maintenance for applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.
  • Evaluate system performance daily to ensure adequate response times for production applications.
  • Establish and document procedures for data integrity, including failover and backup/recovery processes.
  • Acquire, configure, and maintain servers for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Maintain software updates, design new system structures, and track server usage and uptime.
  • Plan, implement, administer, and optimize servers and network infrastructure for high-performance business applications.
  • Set up and maintain fault tolerance and monitor and manage accounts.
  • Set up and manage cloud environments, including public and private cloud systems, using automated deployment methods.
  • Establish and implement standards for cloud operations according to specifications and parameters.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and customer contact for the ongoing operation of large-scale, highly available systems, including multi-discipline environment support.

Requirements

  • Seven (7)+ years of experience supporting information technology as an Operations Manager.
  • Active and maintained Non-Sensitive / High Risk (Public Trust) security clearance (Tier 4/6c).
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
  • AWS Solution Architect certification is mandatory.
  • Strong technical understanding of information technology, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems and services.
  • Experience with management, leadership, coordination, and customer contact for large-scale highly available systems integrated with business-critical systems.
  • Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior Government officials.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is desired.
