Description

  • Administer, configure, test, implement, and maintain databases and database management systems.
  • Monitor database availability, reliability, integrity, security, and performance.
  • Plan and implement database changes, upgrades, and modifications while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Develop database security controls and safeguards for sensitive information.
  • Perform database maintenance, backups, recovery, and restoration activities.
  • Optimize queries, storage utilization, and system resources to improve database performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database errors, data integrity issues, performance problems, and system failures.
  • Maintain database structures, configurations, documentation, and technical records.
  • Support data integration, migration, validation, and management across applications and database environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and technical teams on database development and sustainment.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Master’s degree.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Experience administering and maintaining computer databases and DBMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of database security, access controls, backup, recovery, and data protection practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting database performance, integrity, and availability issues.
  • Ability to support database integration, migration, validation, and lifecycle activities.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary technical teams.
