Description

  • Build, test, and deploy software in a continuous release process, with deployments happening daily or more often.
  • Own projects end to end, from design through rollout.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and accounting experts on product and design reviews.
  • Create technical specifications and testing or rollout plans.
  • Write clear technical designs, contribute code reviews, and uphold engineering standards.
  • Work with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure the team is solving the right problems.
  • Mentor and sponsor teammates to support their growth.
  • Investigate production issues, improve reliability, and support services as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with Python or Vue, or other JavaScript frameworks, in production.
  • Strong coding fundamentals and the ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Good product and systems judgment in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
  • Experience working effectively on a remote team with strong async and written communication habits.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and teach others.
  • Remote employment is only available in the United States for candidates located in CA, GA, NY, NC, TN, TX, or WA.
  • Experience with accounting systems, double-entry bookkeeping, or revenue recognition is preferred.
  • Familiarity with agentic or AI-assisted systems in production environments is preferred.
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs and external systems, such as payment processors, is preferred.
  • Experience with Vue in production is preferred.
  • Background in accounting, fintech, or related fields is of interest.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $133,000-$192,000 in most remote locations, or $166,000-$240,000 in San Francisco and New York City.
  • Eligibility for equity as part of total compensation.
