Description

  • Lead end-to-end Power BI engagements, including discovery, requirements, development, testing, deployment, enablement, and adoption.
  • Define solution architecture, delivery plans, backlogs, quality standards, and technical approaches for scalable Power BI solutions.
  • Design and develop Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, data products, and self-service analytics experiences.
  • Lead client workshops to clarify needs, align stakeholders, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive decisions.
  • Advise clients on Power BI governance, security, deployment, administration, performance, and adoption.
  • Review and optimize existing reports, semantic models, platform configurations, and deployment practices.
  • Manage client communication, expectations, risks, escalations, dependencies, and project decisions.
  • Mentor consultants and delivery teams while maintaining standards for quality, usability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to staffing, utilization, estimates, budgets, proposals, solution shaping, and practice growth.
  • Develop reusable Power BI accelerators, frameworks, templates, and enablement materials.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise data analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization solutions.
  • 3+ years of external consulting experience owning client-facing analytics projects or workstreams.
  • Experience leading complex delivery teams or workstreams and mentoring technical practitioners.
  • Experience with delivery planning, estimates, staffing, utilization, budgets, proposals, or practice development.
  • Demonstrated expertise with enterprise Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboards, visualization, and performance optimization.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses, data marts, lakehouses, semantic models, and analytical data structures.
  • Experience administering and enabling Power BI Service, including workspaces, security, access management, deployment, governance, and adoption.
  • Strong understanding of analytics architecture, data modeling, metric definition, usability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Exceptional customer-facing communication, facilitation, project leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Power BI certification, enterprise Power BI scaling experience, or experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Snowflake, Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, KNIME, Matillion, Dataiku, or similar technologies.
