Description

  • Take ownership of projects from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Work on the Forecasting product, a live application with active daily users.
  • Collaborate with the business team and customers through discovery and exploration calls.
  • Define and deliver features grounded in customer feedback to influence customer planning and forecasting decisions.
  • Partner across Engineering and R&D to enhance core Admin Platform services, including authentication, users, settings, and configurations.
  • Design and build high-performance, low-latency systems and APIs that scale efficiently and improve operational costs.
  • Collaborate within the team and cross-functionally to improve the user experience.
  • Follow software design and development best practices and promote them within the team.
  • Document design decisions and operational knowledge needed to deploy and run services successfully.
  • Ensure code quality through test coverage, integration testing, load testing, alerting, dashboards, and runbooks for production services.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience working on backend systems in an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of experience programming in Python 2.x/3.x, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with SOA, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with an enterprise-grade stack for scalable web applications, including messaging brokers, in-memory storage, and key-value databases.
  • Strong knowledge of TDD, unit testing, and automated testing paradigms.
  • Experience with SQL and RDBMS solutions.
  • Experience with containerized applications, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Possess a DevOps mindset; AWS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with LLMs is a plus.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing using Spark is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
