Description

  • Design, build, and own scalable data pipelines, backend services, and AI-powered platform capabilities.
  • Ship production changes daily by breaking complex work into small, safely mergeable increments.
  • Use feature flags, canary releases, and rollback patterns to manage deployment risk.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, testing, and architecture prototyping.
  • Own work end-to-end from design through deployment, monitoring, cost management, and business impact measurement.
  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions and document them in lightweight ADRs or equivalent records.
  • Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and GTM teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and experiment with emerging AI tools and frameworks through hands-on development.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipeline health, observability, and delivery flow for production systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and shipping production-grade backend and data systems in distributed cloud environments such as AWS and/or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI, LLM, or agent-based components into production workflows.
  • Active use of AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent.
  • Strong backend expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Python, and/or Go.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Track record of breaking work into small, incremental deliveries and shipping continuously.
  • Preferred experience shipping MLOps-powered systems in production, including model serving, monitoring, and retraining pipelines.
  • Preferred experience with distributed data technologies such as Parquet, Athena, or similar query engines.
  • Preferred experience making and documenting architectural decisions autonomously using ADRs or equivalent lightweight decision records.
