Description

  • Troubleshoot and repair inverters, combiner boxes, string lines, and other PV components.
  • Perform inspection, corrective maintenance, and operation of solar power plants to established standards and procedures.
  • Conduct LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.
  • Troubleshoot solar system issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Complete required documentation including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Support maintenance activities for other solar energy system components and associated equipment.
  • Mentor team members and lead by example in safety and professionalism.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles safely and keep them clean and functional.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience on commercial and/or utility-scale solar sites.
  • Experience with electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and ability to apply NFPA 70E and OSHA 10 training.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical components using digital multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
  • Ability to test installed equipment and perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA standards.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and travel 100% of the time.
  • Preferred: experience in renewable energy field service or similar technical maintenance work.
