Description

  • Maintain, diagnose, repair, install, and replace generator components or complete systems.
  • Perform routine performance checks and preventive maintenance to ensure generators are ready for service.
  • Read and follow blueprints or other design specifications for installation and repair work.
  • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and related components.
  • Test installed and repaired systems to confirm proper operation.
  • Respond promptly to power and generator alarms and handle assigned phone and email communications in a timely manner.
  • Remain available for 24/7 on-call duty when required and travel to job sites as needed.
  • Follow safety practices, use required safety equipment, and attend designated safety and training meetings.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with generator maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of intensive work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA standards.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
  • Willingness to drive long distances, work daytime, evening, or night hours, and be available for overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, holidays, and extended travel.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical.
