Description

  • Develop and implement a national facilities strategy aligned with ownership and operational goals.
  • Standardize maintenance policies, procedures, and KPIs across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Operations, Asset Management, and Ownership groups to support NOI growth and asset preservation.
  • Oversee maintenance performance across multi-layered teams and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Drive work order completion, unit turn performance, and student turn planning and execution.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of capital improvement programs, renovations, and system upgrades.
  • Establish capital planning frameworks, lifecycle strategies, vendor programs, and procurement practices.
  • Own facilities-related budgets and track performance metrics such as cost per unit and service levels.
  • Lead regional maintenance directors and corporate teams, including training, leadership development, hiring, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Fair Housing requirements, including safety programs, audits, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of facilities, maintenance, or property operations leadership experience across multi-site or multi-property portfolios.
  • Experience in a third-party property management environment supporting multiple ownership groups or client stakeholders.
  • Experience leading capital improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and execution across multiple properties.
  • One or more industry certifications required, such as CAMT, HVAC, or EPA Universal.
  • Experience using property management or facilities management systems; Entrata Facilities is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing or supporting facilities operations across multiple locations, with regional or national experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25–50% nationally and travel independently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain or already hold a valid passport for possible international travel.
  • Experience communicating with executive leadership, ownership groups, and operational teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations; Canva is preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and other software needed to perform essential duties.
