Description

  • Build custom Shopify storefronts and production-ready themes from client branding and design assets.
  • Configure products, collections, inventory, store settings, access controls, gated collections, gift codes, and purchase restrictions.
  • Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive, functional Shopify storefronts.
  • Lead the redesign and rebranding of the company’s primary Shopify website.
  • Optimize storefront speed, accessibility, mobile usability, navigation, and conversion performance.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot third-party Shopify applications and custom functionality.
  • Apply eCommerce UX and CRO principles to improve customer journeys and reduce friction.
  • Manage multiple Shopify builds from development through testing and launch.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with designers and internal teams, communicating progress and blockers through Slack.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Shopify Liquid templating.
  • Advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
  • Experience building custom Shopify themes or extensively customizing existing themes.
  • Experience leading complete website redesign or rebranding projects.
  • Understanding of eCommerce UX, CRO, responsive design, mobile optimization, accessibility, and performance.
  • Experience managing Shopify product catalogs, collections, inventory, and store configurations.
  • Portfolio demonstrating modern, high-quality Shopify storefronts.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple remote projects during U.S. business hours.
  • Experience with Slack, Google Workspace, and asynchronous collaboration.
  • Shopify Plus experience, including Checkout Extensibility and Scripts, preferred.
  • Experience with Shopify apps such as Locksmith, Bold Custom Pricing, gifting, loyalty, or fulfillment solutions preferred.
  • Experience building B2B, corporate gifting, or branded merchandise stores preferred.
  • Spark Hire one-way video interview required during the application process.
