Description

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade web applications.
  • Develop secure backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
  • Build intuitive, responsive frontend interfaces for complex, workflow-driven applications.
  • Own end-to-end application architecture, including scalable data models and service boundaries.
  • Integrate frontend and backend systems, third-party services, and API integrations.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Implement testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers and maintain high code quality.
  • Apply security best practices for authentication, authorization, validation, and sensitive data handling.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders across time zones, including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and REST API development.
  • Experience designing and shipping production applications.
  • Strong frontend development skills with modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience building workflow-driven or form-heavy applications.
  • Hands-on experience using Cursor, Claude Code, or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, Git, and API integrations.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience in FinTech, tax software, compliance platforms, or financial systems is preferred.
  • Experience building highly secure applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous collaboration in distributed engineering teams is preferred.
  • Experience designing scalable system architecture is preferred.
