Description

  • Own and manage the month-end close process across multiple business entities and locations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, supporting schedules, and P&L reporting by business unit.
  • Review financial performance, investigate significant variances, and deliver reliable reporting to leadership.
  • Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations, including balance sheet tie-outs.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, aging reports, collections, and payroll analysis.
  • Execute audit procedures, prepare audit schedules, and support internal and external audits.
  • Evaluate internal controls, strengthen accounting policies, and improve financial governance.
  • Analyze financial data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Partner with finance leadership on special accounting initiatives and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven ownership of the full month-end close process.
  • Experience in multi-location or multi-entity accounting environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and P&L reporting.
  • Strong experience with general ledger management, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivable, and payroll analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of public accounting or external audit experience (preferred).
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits (preferred).
  • Experience strengthening accounting controls and financial processes (preferred).
  • Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations (preferred).
  • Industry experience in home services, plumbing, HVAC, construction, or field services (preferred).
