Description

  • Design experimental end-to-end ML/AI pipelines for new enterprise use cases.
  • Prototype, evaluate, improve, and productionize machine learning projects from end to end.
  • Work directly with client data, including live data streams, to adapt AI pipelines for production.
  • Invent and apply data preprocessing, reranking, and model configuration tweaks to improve pipeline performance.
  • Design benchmark tasks and run experiments to measure model and pipeline quality.
  • Build unit tests and implement model monitoring for production systems.
  • Contribute high-quality production code to developer frameworks used by thousands of developers.
  • Prepare and preprocess datasets for LLM training and inference.
  • Help improve AI pipelines beyond state of the art on retrieval and benchmark tasks.

Requirements

  • 2-3 lines of cover letter requested with the application.
  • A 4+ year university degree in Computer Science with strong grades in Algorithms, Computational Complexity, Graph Theory, and Machine Learning courses.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning or data science work in the Python stack, including notebooks.
  • Experience with model monitoring, Git, build systems, and CI/CD.
  • Strong focus on writing high-quality code and practical solutions that are reliable in production.
  • Ability to work well with data and engineering challenges in practice.
  • Respectful, curious, and interested in new technology and AI research.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Track record in algorithms competitions, data science contests, or Hugging Face leaderboards is a plus.
  • A code portfolio is a plus.
  • PhD in Computer Science is a plus.
  • Publication at a major machine learning conference is a plus.
  • Experience tinkering with new tools in the LLM stack is a plus.
  • Being part of the Pathway community or recognized in a Pathway bootcamp is a plus.

  • Competitive base salary in the 80th to 99th percentile, based on profile and location.
  • Employee Stock Option Plan.

  • Remote work with the option to meet in offices in Palo Alto, Paris, or Wroclaw.
  • Full-time, permanent contract.
  • Salary band disclosed at EUR 72k / USD 75k lower bound for senior candidates, with adapted bands for mid-senior or mid candidates.
  • Potential consideration for strong candidates in India through Pathway's Inter-IIT and ICPC India partnerships.
