Description

  • Lead managers overseeing SAM case investigations, enhanced due diligence, and escalations.
  • Oversee cases generated through Actimize, FCRM, transaction monitoring systems, and manual referrals.
  • Manage case volumes, aging, quality, productivity, SLAs, and regulatory responsiveness.
  • Ensure investigations are documented and dispositioned appropriately, including suspicious activity identification, SAR referrals, CTR accuracy, and EDD escalations.
  • Coordinate timely responses to 314(a) requests, law enforcement inquiries, subpoenas, and regulatory requests.
  • Develop KRIs and KPIs and present risk-focused operational reporting to management committees and the Board.
  • Lead root cause analyses, identify control gaps, and recommend risk-based remediation actions.
  • Partner with technology and analytics teams on SAM rule tuning, alert quality, false positives, risk coverage, and system governance.
  • Maintain SAM policies, procedures, investigation standards, training, quality assurance, and mentorship programs.
  • Support BSA/AML risk assessments and strategic initiatives across customer due diligence, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification such as CAMS preferred.
  • Extensive BSA/AML operations, financial crimes investigations, and SAM experience in a regulated financial institution.
  • Leadership experience managing managers and large investigative teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Actimize, FCRM, and enterprise transaction monitoring systems.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, and senior leadership.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, organizational, and strategic leadership skills.
