Description

  • Translate carrier underwriting guidelines and API documentation into clear engineering requirements.
  • Evaluate carrier APIs against Pathpoint’s platform to identify gaps, edge cases, and required field mappings.
  • Document, prioritize, and track requirements across carrier guidelines, engineering tickets, and internal knowledge bases.
  • Build and execute QA test plans for carrier integrations and partner with engineering to validate builds against specifications.
  • Maintain carrier integration health by surfacing API issues and turning guideline changes into actionable updates.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product, and carrier partners to keep integrations accurate and aligned with business workflows.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience as a technical analyst, implementation analyst, or business systems analyst.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or technology preferred.
  • Detail-oriented approach to documenting requirements, with a track record of producing engineer-ready specs.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and tools such as Postman and Bruno.
  • Comfort reading API documentation and validating API responses.
  • Ability to aggregate and interpret data from a wide variety of sources.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar to accelerate research, requirements writing, and API analysis.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks.
  • Self-starter who can quickly learn new tasks, tools, and processes.
  • Commercial insurance experience, such as general liability or property, preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
