Description

  • Engage with customers, partners, and professional services providers on software installation and system integration at client sites and remotely.
  • Support long-term migration and ongoing support for legacy workloads running on emulators.
  • Troubleshoot legacy systems, networks, and virtual machines across mixed environments.
  • Provide system administration and disaster recovery support for legacy operating systems.
  • Participate in presales meetings and support the sales team in evaluating and convincing prospects.
  • Deliver technical solutions independently and on time while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Support migration and software/hardware transition projects when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in system administration and disaster recovery for legacy OS environments.
  • Mandatory experience with HP-UX 11.x; HP-UX 10.x and 9.x is a plus.
  • Experience with Solaris 5.10.x through 5.11.4; legacy Solaris versions from SunOS 4.0.4 to Solaris 5.9 is a plus.
  • Linux system and network administration experience with understanding of system components and services.
  • Technical project management skills.
  • Interest in presales meetings and ability to support the sales team.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver solutions on time.
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus and ability to work well with others.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Additional experience with OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, and HP MPE-ix is a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting mixed Windows/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX/VMS/Tru64/SAN environments is a plus.
  • Understanding of virtual environments such as VMware and Hyper-V is a plus.
  • Understanding of LAN networking technologies and storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and iSCSI is a plus.
  • Experience with application stacks such as Oracle, Sybase, and RDB is a plus.
  • Cloud architecture and key cloud operator proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience in software/hardware migration projects is a plus.
