Description

Engage with customers, partners, and professional services providers on software installation and system integration at client sites and remotely.
Support long-term migration and ongoing support for legacy workloads running on emulators.
Troubleshoot legacy systems, networks, and virtual machines across mixed environments.
Provide system administration and disaster recovery support for legacy operating systems.
Participate in presales meetings and support the sales team in evaluating and convincing prospects.
Deliver technical solutions independently and on time while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Work with cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with others.
Support migration and software/hardware transition projects when needed.

Requirements

Experience in system administration and disaster recovery for legacy OS environments.
Mandatory experience with HP-UX 11.x; HP-UX 10.x and 9.x is a plus.
Experience with Solaris 5.10.x through 5.11.4; legacy Solaris versions from SunOS 4.0.4 to Solaris 5.9 is a plus.
Linux system and network administration experience with understanding of system components and services.
Technical project management skills.
Interest in presales meetings and ability to support the sales team.
Ability to work independently and deliver solutions on time.
Strong customer satisfaction focus and ability to work well with others.
Fluent English communication skills.
Additional experience with OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, and HP MPE-ix is a plus.
Experience troubleshooting mixed Windows/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX/VMS/Tru64/SAN environments is a plus.
Understanding of virtual environments such as VMware and Hyper-V is a plus.
Understanding of LAN networking technologies and storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and iSCSI is a plus.
Experience with application stacks such as Oracle, Sybase, and RDB is a plus.
Cloud architecture and key cloud operator proficiency is a plus.
Experience in software/hardware migration projects is a plus.
