Description

  • Develop software in an agile environment using test-driven development and flexible pair programming.
  • Collaborate with product and design to shape the application and contribute to balanced teams.
  • Deliver high-quality code that supports business goals.
  • Coach up to 5 engineers in career growth and performance improvement.
  • Guide engineering practices across teams to improve development methods and effectiveness.
  • Serve in a hybrid individual contributor and manager role with up to 50% hands-on coding.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and help resolve critical system issues.
  • Contribute to system reliability and availability improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and deploy AI features that improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering software in a production environment.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Experience with automated evaluation and testing of LLM-powered workflows.
  • Experience with LangSmith or similar observability and evaluation tools.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and prompt lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with LangGraph, AutoGen, or other agent orchestration frameworks.
  • Skill with AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor.
  • Must reside in the United States.
  • Experience with React and TypeScript (preferred).
  • Experience designing goal-driven interviewing and hiring processes (preferred).
  • Experience working cross-functionally to improve business processes (preferred).
  • Experience as a technical lead on projects with UX/UI design and/or product management (preferred).
  • Delight in learning (preferred).
