Description

  • Lead design efforts across new and existing product areas for educators and students.
  • Design AI-powered and AI-assisted experiences, including interaction models, workflows, and user experiences.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system through new components, tokens, patterns, and documentation.
  • Partner with engineering to build production-ready, accessible components and promote consistent adoption across products.
  • Raise the bar on craft through strong visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
  • Give thoughtful feedback, mentor designers, and help build a culture of high standards and continuous learning.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design, with WCAG 2.2 AA compliance built into the process from the start.
  • Partner with Product to run user interviews, usability tests, and synthesis sessions.
  • Present design strategy and rationale to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering in a high-autonomy, cross-functional environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design craft, end-to-end product thinking, and systems-level reasoning.
  • Hands-on experience designing and shipping AI-powered or AI-assisted features.
  • An evolving point of view on design's role in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Data visualization expertise for turning complex, multi-layered data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and accessibility built into the design process from the start.
  • Experience mentoring others and providing constructive feedback.
  • K–12 edtech experience is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to or working with design systems is strongly relevant.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting trade-offs and advocating design decisions with evidence.
