Description

  • Lead and grow a team of 5-6 developers, including senior and principal engineers.
  • Define and execute a hiring plan to support the team’s growth and business needs.
  • Mentor engineers and support their development and impact.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management on roadmap execution and prioritization.
  • Identify and improve architectural issues in AI content generation systems and the existing codebase.
  • Oversee model serving, performance, latency, and generated content quality.
  • Guide the maturation of codebases and systems so the engineering organization can scale efficiently.
  • Work hands-on with senior engineers on system architecture, technical decisions, and delivery planning.
  • Shape architectural patterns and break down complex initiatives into executable plans.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, technical deep dives, and reliability/performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience/training.
  • Multiple years of experience working on complex projects in a professional environment.
  • Preferred experience with JavaScript-powered web applications.
  • Strong experience with Node.js, React, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
  • People management experience for teams of 4+ engineers, including senior and staff/principal-level ICs.
  • Experience running operations for highly available tier-one services.
  • Knowledge of logging, metrics, monitoring, real-time debugging/diagnostics, and alerting best practices.
  • Experience with project management, stakeholder communication, and working with non-technical teams.
  • Technical expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Technical expertise in distributed and scalable system architecture.
  • Technical expertise in development infrastructure and automation frameworks.
  • Ability to learn quickly and build expertise in new areas and technical stacks.
