Description

  • Design and implement the “Golden Path” for data across operational SQL systems, analytics warehouses, and AI-ready datasets.
  • Treat AWS-hosted MS SQL infrastructure as code by building version-controlled, automated data workflows.
  • Build CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code processes for database and schema changes.
  • Develop frameworks that ensure data quality, reliability, and availability across multiple data layers.
  • Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks in the SQL Server environment to improve scalability and performance.
  • Create monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies to track data health and system performance.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to align data architecture with product and research needs.
  • Audit data deployment and release processes to identify and reduce release-cycle bottlenecks.
  • Own the long-term “Data as Code” strategy for a resilient and agile data layer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Database Administration.
  • Deep experience managing MS SQL Server on AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation scripting.
  • Working knowledge of C# to help bridge application and data automation workflows.
  • Experience modernizing legacy data systems into automated workflows.
  • Ability to work remotely in the US.
  • Strong ownership mindset focused on improving team outcomes.
  • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (preferred).
  • Experience supporting data systems for operational, analytics, or machine learning use cases (preferred).
