Description

  • Define the technical direction and architecture for AI-powered features with attention to maintainability, scalability, and cost control.
  • Lead the design and implementation of AI integrations and reusable platform capabilities across multiple product areas.
  • Establish patterns and best practices for prompt design, evaluation workflows, safety guardrails, and observability.
  • Build end-to-end AI solutions from model exploration and data flow design to service implementation and customer-facing integration.
  • Lead prototyping and delivery of AI initiatives, guiding them from early ideas to validated prototypes and production-ready systems.
  • Own experiments and prototypes through production-quality implementation, including performance, reliability, and monitoring.
  • Pair with engineers, review designs, and share AI engineering and applied LLM best practices.
  • Help software engineers become AI-fluent contributors through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Create internal documentation, examples, and reference implementations to help teams adopt AI capabilities safely and effectively.
  • Partner with product, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to shape AI initiatives and ensure security, privacy, compliance, and availability.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping AI-powered capabilities in production.
  • Deep understanding of LLM providers such as Anthropic, MCP, and other LLM platforms.
  • Ability to solve AI and systems challenges end to end.
  • Experience with secure, scalable software systems and production-grade engineering practices.
  • Experience with prompt design, evaluation workflows, safety guardrails, and observability for AI features.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, startup-like environment within a larger company.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or enabling teams to adopt new technical approaches.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Outcome-oriented mindset and strong ownership of technical work.
  • Experience with AI-powered search, tutoring, or similar learning experiences is preferred.
