Description

  • Prototype AI-native ideas from Figma or LLM conversations into working, production-grade React code in days.
  • Own key Growth surfaces end to end, including layout, interaction, motion, accessibility, and performance.
  • Define and raise the quality bar for AI-assisted output through reviews, examples, and reusable patterns.
  • Extend AI-enabled tools, processes, prompt libraries, and design patterns for the broader team.
  • Partner with design leadership to set standards for what good looks like when shipping with AI.
  • Lead the creation of the Design Engineer function at PandaDoc as the first hire in the role.
  • Own work from problem framing through launch and help shape how the role operates.
  • Measure impact both by shipped work and by how much faster the team can ship because of your contributions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience across both design and front-end engineering, with a portfolio of shipped interfaces or widely used components.
  • Fluency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and at least one animation library such as Framer Motion or React Spring.
  • Active, opinionated use of Cursor and Claude Code in a daily workflow.
  • Clear point of view on how to produce production-quality output with AI tools.
  • Ability to spot workflow inefficiencies and build the tool, pattern, or process to fix them.
  • Comfort building from zero and setting direction without an existing template.
  • Experience working close to product, AI, and real users is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the listed stack, including an internal AI-enabled design system, Figma, Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot, is a plus.
