Description

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, custom themes, and plugins.
  • Translate Figma and Adobe XD designs into responsive WordPress implementations.
  • Configure and customize plugins including WooCommerce, Advanced Custom Fields, Elementor, and Yoast.
  • Optimize page speed, Core Web Vitals, caching, and image performance.
  • Implement on-page SEO practices with SEO specialists.
  • Maintain website security through plugin management, updates, and development best practices.
  • Manage site migrations, backups, and hosting configurations.
  • Configure WooCommerce stores, product pages, checkout flows, and payment integrations.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and compatibility issues.
  • Document custom development work and support content editors.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of professional WordPress development experience.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building custom themes and plugins from scratch or with child themes.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress core architecture, hooks, filters, and the WP REST API.
  • Experience with performance optimization and page-speed best practices.
  • Familiarity with Git and deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of WordPress security best practices.
  • Experience with WooCommerce development and ecommerce customization preferred.
  • Familiarity with headless WordPress, REST API, GraphQL, or WPGraphQL preferred.
  • Experience with page builders, managed WordPress hosting, SEO collaboration, or Gutenberg block development preferred.
