Description

  • Map, analyze, and redesign end-to-end business processes across clinical operations, revenue cycle, marketing, sales, and administrative workflows to remove inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Design, build, manage, and maintain automations and workflows using platforms such as Zapier, Make/n8n or similar, RingCentral, Monday.com, SalesMate, EMR/EHR layers, and custom logic solutions.
  • Develop workflow standards, documentation, governance frameworks, and configuration of workflow-related system features.
  • Create and maintain API-based integrations between systems (EMR/EHR, CRM, billing, VOIP, AI agents, data warehouses) and translate operational needs into technical integration requirements.
  • Implement monitoring, alerts, notifications, error-handling protocols, and reporting to ensure automation stability, data accuracy, and visibility by user and system.
  • Design and build custom middleware, scripts, functions, and code-based workflow logic where native automation is insufficient, and refactor or optimize existing custom code.
  • Collaborate with engineering, vendors, product, operations, and analytics teams to test, deploy, and maintain integrations and to surface actionable insights from workflow data.
  • Lead change management for workflow rollouts, provide training and documentation to stakeholders, and support adoption across teams.
  • Ensure workflows and integrations meet compliance, security, and privacy requirements (including PHI/HIPAA) and support audit and regulatory documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in workflow automation, business process engineering, systems integration, or operations optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise with automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar) and experience with native integrations and workflow buildouts.
  • Familiarity with APIs, JSON, Webhooks, and basic scripting logic.
  • Hands-on experience building custom functions, scripts, or application logic using languages such as Ruby, PHP, C++, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Experience developing and maintaining custom integrations, middleware, or internal tooling and extending no-code/low-code platforms with custom code.
  • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, documentation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of core software development concepts including version control, debugging, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience handling PHI and designing workflows that comply with HIPAA Security Rule requirements (access controls, audit trails, encryption, secure transmission).
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, or clinical workflows, and experience integrating EMR/EHR systems.
  • Preferred: SQL or lightweight scripting proficiency (Python or JavaScript) and familiarity with process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN).
