Description

  • Work across multiple teams to evolve a suite of web and internal tools for utility customers.
  • Lead cross-team initiatives and/or architectural design work at the team level.
  • Solve critical scaling and technical challenges that support rapid business growth.
  • Make pragmatic technology choices and trade-offs for current and future needs.
  • Define coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across levels.
  • Collaborate with product managers and the CTO on product strategy and technology enablement.
  • Contribute hands-on to implementation and delivery.
  • Help reduce manual work in ingesting vegetation analysis into customer-facing tools.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a high-growth scaleup environment.
  • Product-minded with demonstrated business impact through technology.
  • Proven full-stack development experience with React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, Postgres, and data pipelines, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working in a build-it, run-it environment with GCP, Cloud Run, Grafana, and Kubernetes, or similar.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable and resilient systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and coaching engineers at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for learning and staying current with evolving technologies and industry trends.
  • Based in GMT/CET, with openness to US ET candidates who can overlap significantly with GMT/CET working hours.
  • Nice to have: experience scaling large distributed architectures, working in a remote-first environment, or working with satellite data and/or imagery.
