Description

  • Lead the end-to-end product design process for the customer-facing product, including research, wireframes, prototypes, flows, detailed design specs, and QA.
  • Create shippable solutions by balancing engineering and business constraints and validating them with customers.
  • Develop and iterate on design vision through rapid prototyping, sketches, and detailed design work as needed.
  • Present and communicate design work clearly and frequently to teammates and company leaders.
  • Own design work through release communication and customer-facing rollout support.
  • Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term product vision.
  • Facilitate design sprints, workshops, and planning sessions to align stakeholders.
  • Meet occasionally with customers in person for workshops and field visits to understand how they use the product.
  • Attend occasional industry events to learn about competitors and customer thinking around disruptive technology.

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio with examples of interaction design work.
  • Experience working at an early-stage startup.
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design for enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems into intuitive experiences for non-technical users.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading design sprints and building consensus around ideas.
  • Comfort with learning as you go, taking calculated risks, and shipping without perfection.
  • Genuine passion for addressing the climate crisis.
  • 5+ years of product design experience preferred.
  • Experience working on a B2B SaaS product preferred.
  • Experience working closely with machine learning engineers and/or data scientists preferred.
  • Experience designing LLM or AI-powered products preferred.
  • Experience with maps or geospatial data preferred.
  • Must be based in the US or Canada, with East Coast preferred.
  • Must work within Eastern North America time zones (NST, AST, EST).
