Description

  • Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations that support multiple use cases across products and domains.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to improve data artifact development.
  • Build multi-step ETL jobs and maintain data workflows using modern data engineering tooling.
  • Design schemas and optimize queries for both OLAP and OLTP data stores.
  • Validate data correctness and enforce data quality throughout the pipeline lifecycle.
  • Work with executives, senior managers, principal engineers, and cross-team data engineers to support strategic planning.
  • Leverage cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks to support business systems data needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Analytics, and Support to deliver relevant data.
  • Maintain and improve solutions using workflow orchestration and version control tools.
  • Promote an insight-centric culture by bringing relevant data to internal teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Strong skills in at least one programming language, with Python highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL data stores and when to use each.
  • Experience with OLAP and OLTP datastores, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Experience with distributed bus systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with Spark ecosystem tools such as Delta Lake and Databricks.
  • Strong foundation in data modeling, schema design, and data quality best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Expertise in building multi-step ETL jobs using dbt.
  • Proficiency with workflow management platforms like Airflow and version control tools like GitHub.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on clarity, empathy, and shared ownership.
